No, with our built in editor you can format your text, add pictures, create links to other websites or other pages on your website without having to know HTML. You can turn the editor off and use html if you're the technical type! It's your choice.
Can I add flash and video to my website?
Yes, you can add flash files or video files to your main website page or to your product descriptions.
Will my website have a shared SSL certificate?
No, your website will have its own SSL certificate which must be renewed annually. You will need to purchase your SSL certificate before your website "goes live" so you can collect customer information securely.
Will my website have a dedicated IP address?
Yes your website will have it's own dedicated IP address.
Can I only sell to customers in the USA?
Yes, you can limit the countries that you sell to. For example, you may only want to sell to customers in the USA or Canada. Tell us where you want to sell and we will set your store up to sell only to those countries.
How many products can I have on my website?
As many or as few as you want. You can also offer a product under more than one category by linking it to other categories.
Can my customers write product reviews?
Yes, if you want your customers to have the ability to write reviews we will turn that feature on when we create your website.
Can I associate a product with the manufacturer so my customers can easily find all of my products from a specific manufacturer?
Yes, this is an optional feature. You can add a manufacturer's logo and even link to their website as well as allowing your customer to look up products from a specific manufacturer.
How long will it take for my website to be ready?
It generally takes about two to three weeks before your website will be ready for you to start adding products. At that time it will be moved to the "production" hosting server from the "development" hosting server. You will be able to take a look at how it is progressing on our development server as it is created. During this time it is important for you to decide on a short paragraph or two about your business to place on the front page of your website.
How do I collect sales tax?
You tell us what state(s) you need to collect tax for and the sales tax rate and we will set your system up to collect tax for that state(s). You will set each product to be taxable or non taxable. When a customer from your taxable state(s) places and order they will be charged the appropriate tax.
How do I collect for shipping charges
There are many methods to set up shipping charges such as flat rate, table rate based on price or weight, total per item x quantity, UPS and more.
I want to sell items that are personalized, such as signs, how can I do that?
You will have the ability to set each product to collect up to 4 lines of personalization. Your customer will fill in the personalization when they go through the check out process.
